This Privacy Policy explains how "Is this GF?" for web and iOS handles your data. Our goal is to deliver useful gluten-detection guidance without collecting personal data.

1. Core Principles

Privacy is built into "Is this GF?". Scans, ingredient checks, and verdicts happen on your device. We do not run central servers that store your scan history or ingredient lookups.

2. Information We Collect

The only information we receive is the anonymized user identifier that Apple provides when you sign in with your Apple ID. This identifier cannot be used to personally identify you and is only available to us when you opt into Apple Sign In.

3. Beta Program Emails

If you volunteer for our TestFlight or other beta programs, we collect the email address you provide so we can send invitations, updates, or follow-up surveys about the beta. We store these addresses separately from app data, use them only for beta communication, and remove them when the program ends or sooner upon request. 4. How We Use That Identifier

• Confirm beta access or troubleshoot App Store distribution issues.
• Respond to direct support requests you initiate with us.
• Maintain aggregate metrics about app activation counts (without identifying individuals).

We do not combine the anonymized identifier with other datasets, and we never sell or rent it to third parties.

5. On-Device Processing and Storage

The Gluten Blacklist database, OCR routines, and decision logic run locally. If you enable iCloud syncing, your scan history and preferences are stored in your own iCloud account, under Apple's governance. We cannot access that content.

6. Website Analytics

Our marketing site does not use cookies, ad trackers, or behavioral analytics platforms. Aggregate host logs may capture high-level metrics (such as total visits) but they are not tied back to individual visitors.

7. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any user information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. If required by law, we may disclose minimal data to comply with a valid legal request, but we design the service so there is little or nothing to disclose.

8. Your Choices

• You can use the app without signing in; no identifier is generated.
• You may delete the app at any time, which removes on-device history.
• You control any information stored in iCloud through your Apple settings.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as features evolve. Changes will be posted in-app and on this page. Your continued use of "Is this GF?" after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
